We've got a couple of other things to add... 1) We'll be selling alcohol for the last hour or so of the party, but not during the early part of the evening. Juice and pop will all be available to buy throughout the evening. We'll have snacks for free! 2) The WISE Hall has air conditioning. Yes, we thought that would pique your interest. Also, the WISE Hall is in the East End, and thus nowhere near the traffic blockages and the 500,000 suburbanites who come in to watch the fireworks. 3) If you have old (clean) towels or sheets that you don't wish returned, bring 'em and donate 'em to the "something for nekkid folks to sit upon" collection! 4) For those coming from out of town, we can arrange to hold you a ticket. Studio Q -- A Short History Studio Q was a working artists' studio in Vancouver's historic Chinatown, run by the well-known local artist, photographer, actor, activist, and dyke-about-town, Shaira Holman. Her most recent show, GID; Gender Identity Disorder, or; Girls in Drag… is profiled here. Some of the works from this show were available to be viewed at StudioQ. Studio Q lent its name to a series of private BDSM parties for leatherqueers. (That's right, LGBT men, women and others. Fags and Dykes and Queers! Oh My!) These parties were invite-only, and only those on the invite list knew of the date/time, or were able to get past our checkin'-it-twice doorfolk.
